I’ve been asked a fair amount by my customers about Solid State Drives (SSD’s) - are they worth the upgrade. To illustrate this, please see the short video which demonstrates the differences. The pc I used is a new build but using older components. It’s a 3rd Generation Core i5, 8gb Ram, Radeon 7970 x 2 graphics card.
The purpose of the video is to illustrate the boot process, but you get extra system performance across all aspects of your computer. SSD’s come in a few different capacities but the sweet spot is 500gb as this provides a good level of storage against cost. Larger capacities are available though.
