The iconic home entertainment system launched in 1994 - the PlayStation is to get a 'rebirth' in the form of a 'mini'. This follows the launch of the original Super Nintendo and NES consoles last year which have gone on to become some of the most popular gadgets of 2017.
The mini version will initially come with 20 retro titles including Tekken 3, Ridge Racer 4 and Final Fantasy 7 and is set to launch on 3rd December 2018. The device will retail for £89.99 and will include a HDMI cable for connecting to a TV and two wired controllers.
Demand is expected to be high as many people who still have the old device have not been able to use them without specialist equipment as they were designed to work with a RF or SCART connector which is not now implemented on modern tv's.
