After years in development Apple finally has showcased its VR headset last night at WWDC2023. The device looks sleek and has the usual Apple refinements - aerospace grade Aluminium and a beautiful looking single price of glass on the front.
A really cool feature is the front isn't transparent, t's solid, so to give the impression you are looking thought the device a screen projects the image of your face onto the front. See it looks like people can see your eyes but in fact they are looking at a live image of your eyes. The device is controlled purely by hand gestures and by looking at whatever you want to select. This is a huge difference from every other VR device where you need to use clunky hand controllers. It also appears that you don't need to plug in base stations around the room to define your play/work space. Yes - I said work space! Apple showcased how you can use the device for all your productively workloads. You can walk around your office and interact with colleague as normal whilst undertaking whatever work you are doing.
