Whenever I look for products relating to Gaming PC's and just IT 'stuff' in general, I always do a lot of research.  Below is a list of products that I own or have worked with during my everyday dealings with computers. Ive spent a lot of time ensuring that these products are reliable, fit for purpose and do the job they were designed (and recommended!) for.

Everyday Data Storage and long term backup

Kioxia (toshiba) USB stick

Ive been using these USB sticks for years.  They used to be Toshiba branded but the actual tech is Kioxia.  They are cheap and reliable and come in various sizes.  Get a large one - 128Gb is usually enough for most people, its just not cost effective to get the smaller ones.

Seagate Portable HDD

Seagate portable USB drives are one of the best ways to backup and store your essential files.  A trusted brand with a good reputation for reliability. Ive had one of these that i use every now and again to take large files around. Available in large capacities they are perfect for most backup needs.

Synology NAS drives are synominous with high quality Network Attached backup.  For many people this may be a little overkill but for small businesses

that need to backup important data they are essential.  These will hold much more storage and offer redundancy.  This way if one of the drives inside the device fails, you don't lose your data.  Its what's known as a RAID system.  The drive doesn't connect directly to your PC, it connects to your broadband router.  That way all the devices that also connect to that router can utilise this device to store/backup their data.

Printers and inks

HP 2810e Printer

HP have a vast array of printers that is always being updated.  Many of my customers just need something that does the job without too much hassle - this printer does that.  Its great value and has a good quality output and scans too. If you need the inks, they are just to the right

HP 305 Ink
HP 8122e printer

For small business who need a little more functionality, this printer is a great option.  Its great value and has a few extra things you wont get on a cheaper one such as a document feeder, smart phone connectivity and auto duplex for printing on both sides of a page.

Gaming and related peripherals

X52 HOTAS
Flight Yoke

Gaming peripherals for flight simiulators come in all different shapes and sizes.  These offerings from Logitech and Seiteck are some of the best you can get for the money

If you want to get into Microsoft Flight Simulator (Elite: Dangerous space sim) , you need to have a yoke or joystick system - its just too difficult to use a keyboard and mouse to fly a plane or helicopter! Ive used these for years and they have served me well - good quality and great to use.

Corsair K70 keyboard

As far as keyboard go, the K70 from Corsair is about the best you can get.  Its an RGB mechanical keyboard with brilliant typing and gaming action.  A legend in its class and my go to keybaord

Dark Core Mouse

A great keyboard needs a great mouse to go with it and the Dark Core from Corsair is just the ticket.  A brilliant wireless mouse with excellent (rechargeable) battery life and many mappable buttons.  A win from me

Everday PC and laptop useage

Bose companion speakers

Ok, lets get the cost out of the way first.  These are a considered purchase, however if you spend a lot of time at your PC/laptop and listen to music, gaming etc then these are hands down the best you can buy. Ive had my set for 10 years now and they are still going strong.  The sound is amazing and can wake the neighbours if you crank it up.  Simply the best you can get for the money.

Logitech mouse

Sometimes we just need a simple everyday mouse to use on the go or at the PC.  This is just that - good quality, wireless and affordable. Ive recommend this many times just for those reasons.

Logitech keyboard and mouse set

Very similar to the above mouse, but comes with a keyboard too! Great quality for the price and my go to for a simple solution. Logitech MK2370 set has it all

Monitors for everyday

BenQ are a great manufacture of Monitors.  Maybe a brand that many haven't herd of but they have been putting out some excellent screens for a while now.  This 24" model offers a great mix of features for a really good price. A solid everyday monitor that will suit most uses and has Display Port and HDMI connecrtors.

Monitors for gamers

Samsung 27inch Curved.png
